Description

The listing, 50+ Australian stamps has ended.

1 Packet of 50+ used (usually about 55) Australian commemorative postage stamps.

I have prepared a large number of packets containing at least 50 Australian commemorative stamps to be given away to anyone that wants one. The picture shows the large pile from which these packets were made.

Return postage HAS to be paid though (I have given away 700 packets like this now, and I can't obviously pay postage for everyone!).

If you are in the USA:
- mail me an SASE (self-addressed stamped envelope) or 46c in unused postage (must have gum or be self-adhesive).
- Send me a PayPal payment (the slight extra amount is to cover the postage and receiving fees that PayPal charges me).

If you are NOT in the USA:
- send an IRC (International Reply Coupon) or
- US $1 banknote or
- 1 Euro coin or
- 1 Swiss Franc coin or
- PayPal for $1.60 (extra amount is to cover their fees).

Sorry, but no free shipping. I've sent out over 700 of these packets in the past few years, mostly international, and everyone provided return postage (otherwise, it would have been about $700 out of my pocket to mail these, and that my friends, is unfortunately no possible...).

Just out of curiousity, are you Australian or have lived there? I was just wondering how you got all these amazing Aussie stamps! :-) Would you do a GIN for a larger number of stamps if I did local pick up? I wouldn't want to drive all the way over to Plano (I live between Dallas & Ft. Worth) for just 70.

No, I'm not Australian; these were from a donation, my "job" is to essentially give these away to beginning and/or youth collectors. Over the past 5 years or so, I've probably mailed out 700+ packets like this (so almost 40,000 stamps!). It's taken me about 60 hours in labor sorting this stuff out. If I had to actually pay postage for everyone that requests a packet, it would have cost me a lot of money (especially since over half of the requests are from outside the USA), therefore I request that postage is to be paid (whether by SASE or other methods). The packets are all the same though. Most of these stamps came in little bundles of 100 stamps that were all the same, so I took 50+ bundles and made packets of out of them. So everybody gets the same 50+ stamps. I also use the stamps as give-aways at Halloween.

But, if you live between D and FW, why not come to the Irving meetings of the Mid-Cities Stamp Club? Next meeting is this Wednesday, January 15 at 7:30 PM (arrive at 7 PM) - always the 3rd Wednesday of the month. Address is the "Garden & Arts building" on 906 Senter Rd in Irving. We have different programs each month; this Wednesday is a "clean out your stamp closet" night, so people will bring various duplicate stamp items for sale... I'll be at this particular meeting. Feel free to contact me at 972-671-0077 if you have any questions.
Regards,
Peter
