I want a video recorder to do tutorials and put on you tube. I don't know much about them can you advise me and will this item handle what I want to use it for?

Yes its possible to do that with this device. Once you put the camera in video mode. just record what you want then transfer to computer by using the cable.. After that just upload to your YouTube account

Does this require a charger? If so, is it included? Any dead pixels in the LCD or lens damage that's reflected in pictures?

No the lcd screen is 100% fine and so are the pictures.. I can post more pics later when I get off work.. This camera is battery operated

This is a nice looking camera. It's a shame you won't get what you should. If you would get verified and offer free shipping you would be quite surprised in the difference of the bids you would get. Maybe you might want to consider that. Anyway, welcome to Listia, and god luck. F&W
