Well I hate to say I sold the Wilson 500 on craigslist. The buyer tried to tell me it was grounded internally, which when measured with a normal meter, most base load antennas will show lead to ground short, although its not the case if measured with a correct RF tester. We did find a spot in the coax that was almost into the lead, so I knocked off $10 for the damage to the coax as it wasn't just a "nick" as stated in my post there. $15 dollars total for the antenna which will probably go for shipping the CB. New, the Wilson 500's are around $50, Mine was heavily used so I'm not too disappointed. The case has not been opened whatsoever on the CB or tinkered with, so yea, your golden there. Hope you win too as the way I ship, its definitely pro-rated by the mile so. good luck! ♣ ♣ ♣ ♣

10-4 ! you can get 12v power supply on the cheap. I used this cb in my truck, but I have been known to use a laptop charger that was rated at 12v dc. As long as its listed at 5amps or more you would be golden, but you do run the normal risks associated with trial and error and electronics. Over.

LOL, I just boxed this cb up today and it was a very tight fit. I think my box could have been a tad bit bigger, but it fit with a little stretching of the box. Glued the ends of the box together very well. My tip to the winner = open the box very carefully as it may pop out like a jack-in-the-box... :)

I used to travel a lot and used this one to keep in contact with truckers who as most cb'ers know, will keep you very informed where the cops are sitting with their radar out as well as alert me to any traffic jams etc. Many times were I able to go well over the speed limit and cut my travel times by 33% or more! I don't condone breaking the law, but having a cb and staying in touch really helps anyone that travels!

Just to clarify, if you look close at the power plug, the tip looks bent or broken. I checked to make sure the fuse inside was good and forgot to screw it back in place before picture was taken. I have since screwed it back and looks like it should now. Just keeping things honest :)

I will let this auction go to the highest bidder, bid your 67,000 credits and see what happens! What I have seen so far, you probably would get it, maybe for less.

I have a wilson 500 with 4' whip I'd like to put on here, but shipping would be tuff. I was wondering if I could get it to flex into a small enough circle to put into a box without creating a bend in it. I wouldn't mind to ship a 2'x2' box but it gets really stiff at about a 3' circle so I don't want to ruin it.

That would be the stock mic. Thanks for inquiring :-)

ohh if you were thinking of listing the 500 the antenna would bend very very bad and usps has the boxes to ship antennas, here is one for reference..

i think i'm gonna try for this, 1 because you said it has never been opened, So that makes it great for opening it up, putting in bigger finals, adding a connex board, & putting in a 10k slide, & a few other odds and ends, you can get about 40 watts of of the particular radio, and adding a power mic with echo and talk back
