in part that's true, ..mainly its so that I know you are who you say you are and vice versa.. if there is a dispute for any reason. it protects you too

so, I'm having trouble verifying my address because I use the phone app and there isn't an option to verify an address on it (unless someone knows where/how) and when I use the website I sign in and it says my email address isn't a valid account, which isn't the case. I'm afraid to redo my account just to verify my address and have to start from scratch with credits, etc. Is there any exception to your verification address rule?

One way is to go to ur My Listia page, scroll down about half way & click on "Verify Account" in the left column> Follow instructions to get an automated phone call> Follow the automated phone instruction

I hope it works out for you, it'll make things a lot easier for you pm listia
