You could put a small flint rod in it but at this time it does not have a flint. A line and hook could easily be put through the middle also. This the best quality with some of the coolest and sturdiest fasteners I could find which screws in and is adjustable. Hope this helps:)

It's 550 Paracord and the length is around 15 feet. I did not measure before but that is around how long they usually are. Could be closer to 16 feet but would rather go low to be on the safe side.
