Some models of the PS3 aren't backwards compatible. Is there something special about this disk that makes it compatible?

As far as I know is that All ps3 are compatible with ps1 games ! Ps2 games are a different story.. Only the first ps3 can play those... I have already tried this game on my ps3 120 GB slim and it works !

Yes and sought after. That doesn't mean it's rare in any way, shape or form though.

This is apart of the essential collection so the credits you're asking for is unreasonable since it's only part of a whole. Now if it was the entire collection (1, 2 and 3) then that would make sense. And you can buy this on PSN for $10 so the proof is kind of moot. Good auction though.
