The phone has to be reset once a day, per the provider. So, be sure you shut it down, then power it up once a day. It's a great phone, I had no problems out of of, and it is a touchscreen.

it does take a sims card. and it is not locked, but you can program a lock code onto it.

Best thing to do is to call your providers and ask if the phone would work with their service if it's other than US Cellular. Thought that would help.
