You are looking at a quartz crystal plate that has been shaped into a brooch. The bottom has been flatted and the edges smoothed. The crystals have a natural coating of iron oxide which gives it the yellow color. Beautiful sparkly druzy crystals. Very attractive on any color outfit. I created this from some rocks I collected while at a dig in South Carolina.
