No, they're not new. I have had them for years, I have two pair. I have no idea how old they are. They are replicas of 19th century originals is really all I know. They were made for various scissor companies, but I never could pinpoint an actual date. I am just clearing out all of my excess "stuff" that I have accumulated over the years. Sorry I can't be more help.
