Questions & Comments
Hi,
It means there s proxy bid. Say you see current bid for something is 100. You really want it, but if you bid with 101 credits, someone can outbid next moment. So you calculate: you figure out the highest amount of credits you are willing to spend and bid with that amount. For example, you figured you would pay up to 1000 credit, and bid 1000. The current price in that case would still show 101 to others but as they bid, say 102, your bid would automatically increase up to 1000. You will be outbidding them automatically. If the bidding stops at say 500, then you just pay 500, and not the 1000. Hope that makes sense.
Maybe this is a dumb question. I am new to Listia and never bid on Ebay. When I bid on your coupon, I immediately got a message that I was outbid on this item. This has happened on every item I've tried to bid on. Is there some sort of secret bid process? I read that the current bid is 1720, for example, I bid 1730, then I'm told that I was outbid. So how do I find out what the real current bid is? Or how do I put in a secret "highest bid?"
