There was no Metal Gear Solid on NES. Solid was the beginning of a new series. Metal Gear on NES was...horrible. They changed so much in the localized version that it's not worth playing. Even worse was the second american version, Snakes Revenge. It's not even close to Metal Gear 2 as Kojima had nothing to do with it.

In short, Seller was not incorrect in his wording.

Yea, I grew up on metal gear. To be honest, this game in particular is my favorite out of all them. That's just my opinion.
