Kinda creepy? Partially trippy. Crazy surreal! I think this plush primate is psychic! New Age spiritual amusement. He meditates to see other worlds in his crystal ball. I think his mutant ESP powers come from his wonky eye. Am I just a little bit silly for making this? I would like to think so.

This is one of my dry media artworks. They are sometimes called "paintings" or "drawings", but the word "Pastel" is the only correct word. As a noun or verb.
Dry pastel (powdered pigment crayons) is my medium of choice. Unlike many traditional practitioners, I don't go for the delicate lightness of the smudgy artform. I love the bright, vibrant colors to capture the moment with a sense of electricity.

I lowered it to 3 days. I'm in the negative at the moment, so I can't afford GIN. arrg. That'll teach me to hold onto tracking numbers.

There ya go! One without flash (kinda blurry... no tripod) two with flash. The reflection shows you the texture. Put a sharpie under it to show you it's flexible. Won't tear or wrinkle like paper. Also some coins for size comparison.
