they are water proof but I wouldn't advise being in water for long periods of time that is up over the rubber part.

well this all sucks because I don't have a cell phone and I used my home phone and it said it text me a code that I can not receive cause it is not a cell phone.

I am not sure. my daughter bought them for herself and she wears an 8 she wore them one season snow machining .they are loose for me and I take an 8. she wore extra socks out there. I think they might be a mans 8.
