The "NEO GEO" was made by SNK in the late 90's and although it was a very popular gaming system in Japan, it never really caught on in the USA. Because of that, there was a huge amount of the product leftover here. I'm not sure if it was ever even officially "released" to the public in the USA. I worked for the video game distribution company that held the account for the manufacturer of this game, and when the "NEO GEO" and all the games were being scrapped, they let me keep any that I wanted. It's definitely no where near the cutting edge technology that is available today, but it's still a cool game and it works just fine; comparable to Nintendo's Gameboy. (Pics 11 & 12 show the game on.). The only downside about this handheld is that the plastic slider or "door" piece that encloses the 2 AA batteries that it requires, is missing. Also, the link cable that it comes with won't be of much use since there isn't a second handheld to link with. Although, it may possibly act as an adapter if linked to a USB port on a computer, but I don't know. I will be doing some necessary spring cleaning in my home soon, and I anticipate finding another handheld and even more game cartridges. If I do, I will be more than happy to contact the winner "post auction", and voluntarily ship any additional pieces for free.

My kids and I both enjoyed playing with the NEO GEO, and I hope that someone else will find it just as cool and entertaining as we did!!
