The listing, 2 starters of Jade has ended.
I've had this Jade tree for about 3 years. When I bought it, it was about 10 inches tall and it now has a few sprouts underneath it measuring anywhere from 4"to 7". You will receive 2 starters approximately these sizes. This plant thrives best in shady conditions with little bits of sun and light watering. Very low maintenance.
Sorry I don't have any that are already rooted, these will be clippings off the big tree. They root fairly easy. It usually seems to take about a month to get roots that will be about an inch long, if you keep the soil fairly moist during that time.
I am going to try for these cause I am trying to replace the ones accidentally killed on my wife. Any secrets you can share with me would be much appreciated!! I was told I over watered them and it killed them. She wants another but it's winter and everything is closed or doesn't have them. I want to get them going really good before I surprise her with them.
Use good potty soil to start with not the cheap kind. Put sure the cutting is the pot good and sturdy so not disturbed and they should have a good healthy plan in a short time. Jade plants love to grow and thrive. Clean house air is best also or outside in good weather. Find it a window it likes and leave it there.
I just used an off brand mix of potting soil and top soil at first. However this plant here is in regular dirt that my husband dug out of our old garden. I don't think its very picky with the dirt you might use
Yeah, it is safe. I have had mine around cats. They only problem I have had is that mine is a tree and I had some kittens trying to climb around on it. LOL
Regarding the soil then probably just keep it in old dirt and not spoil it. Some plants are like weeds they will just about grow in air. Jade is an antique plant and I have had many and can't believe anyone could kill one. Yes they are fine around cats, I have had mine around cats too. They are usually not interested in it either.
