What does the PCMCIA acronym stand for? Is it just like the cooling fan for a laptop that you sit the laptop on top of and let it keep the it cool? Or is it something that keeps the internal workings cool or what?

can you explain how it works because i really dont understand most coolers are like pads you put under the computer this one you put trough the pcmcia connector but how does the air flow in"? i see it has a big fan that would be hanging on the side but i don't get how it would be cooling the computer , the only thing i can think of is that the air enters trough the card entrance but i'm not sure thats how could you please explain :)

thiscooling item slides into your PCMCIA port on the laptop, then you plug it in your USB port. Fan keeps the inside cooler.
