Gremlins" is an American horror with comic overtones that is available on DVD. The movie begins with a Dad shopping for a Christmas gift for his son. He chooses a creature called Mogwai, renamed Gizmo, but he is told not to expose it to bright light, get it wet, or feed it after midnight. The son, Billy, accidently gets Gizmo wet, causing the little pet to multiply. The multiplied versions of Gizmo are not nice and go on a rampage through the town.
