Questions & Comments
Wow! So unusual and clever. Love it! Have to ask.....why didn't you start bidding at a higher amount? I can see this item being worth a lot of credits. Fanned and bid.
It's a common mistake that those new to Listia make when they are listing an auction. At the bottom left side of the screen (right near the "location" box) there is a box that says "show advanced options" or something like that. If you click that, you are then on a 2nd page where you can enter a starting bid AND enter a GIN (Get It Now) option. The most common starting bid for most anything is 499 credits - Listia charges you 10% in credits for any STARTING bid over that amount. So if you have a nice piece of jewelry or a collectible item or perfume, wallets, handbags etc the winning bid could be around 10,000 credits. If you have a really hot item - sterling silver or gold rings etc - you can start at 499 or 599 or whatever and then enter a Get it Now price for 7,000 to 15,000 credits. If there are some items I see that I REALLY want and happen to have a good supply of credits, I will pay the GIN amount and be sure I win it. Most people on Listia have more credits than money, so if you can ship the item for free, you can charge a lot more credits. Free Shipping is a big deal in Listia. Some people put in outrageous shipping amounts and I would bet they don't get any action. I hope that helps! Be sure to do the "verifications" tasks in your Account Profile section (bottom left side of the screen under where your badges are shown ) that is really important until you get some history with buying or shipping items. They are plenty of flakey people on Listia that don't follow through with the buying or selling steps and get a bad reputation. If you have any other questions or anything I can help you with, please ask! I plan to win your auction here - so I will be in touch!
How nice of you to explain....I was wondering. I appreciate your taking the time....very best of luck bidding! I too am a GIN fan....I know what I want and have very little patience...lol Thanks again!
