This is a pretty nice ring. It is brand new & is marked 925. It could however be sterling silver plated as opposed to solid? It is a brand new ring, I just brought it home from my shop to put on here. It measures very slightly under a 6, so it is either a 53/4, or a tight 6 as we say. Now I can't really tell if it is real amber or not, but because it is a new ring, I would say it is more likely to be a man made amber. You don't come across real amber much anymore. Would you like to know how to tell if your amber is real or not? You take your item, lets says it is an amber beaded necklace. You hold them in your hands for awhile, get them warm, & then hold your hands & the necklace up to your nose. If it has a slight antiseptic smell, it is amber. You can also pour very hot water on it, & smell it as well. I don't really get any smell on this ring, so I will say it is man made. The older your piece of jewelry is, the more chance it has of being real amber. This ring is very pretty though & I am sure you are going to love it.
