Great for cutting threads especially when embroidering and you need to get close to the material. I use my snips all the time. I love them for trimming threads when sewing and finishing up a project. I have 4 pairs and couldn't pass up buying these only to decide I really didn't need another pair. But you never can have enough fabric, thread, scissors or other sewing supplies. Right?Don't forget they are great for other crafts as well - like embroidery, plastic canvas, counted cross stitch, knitting and crocheting. Have a pair handy around all your crafts.
