Description

The listing, Green Bell Peppers (25+ seeds) has ended.

These are thick walled, medium sized green peppers. Easy to grow, you can start the seeds indoors to plant outside after threat of frost is gone. Usually picked while bright green, if left to ripen longer, some will turn red as well. These are even sweeter than when green. Great for salads or cooking, or stuffing. As with all my Listia auctions, the winning bidder has 7 days to contact me with verified shipping info or the item will be re-listed and I keep the credits. I DO NOT SHIP TO UNVERIFIED ADDRESSES. Thanks for looking and please feel free to check out my other auctions. Happy bidding!

Did you save the seeds when the peppers were ripe? "Green" indicates that they were unripe when you saved seeds. Thanks!

Yes, the peppers were fully ripe. I used them along with most of my tomatoes and some jalepenos to make a large batch of picante sauce. In the case of bell-type peppers, unless they are genetically pre-disposed to turning color, most varieties are mostly green when fully ripe. I find the occasional one with a blush of color, but not many. i like to let peppers develop fully on the plant before picking them, even tho they are edible at any stage. The longer they ripen, the better the flavor...

Thanks for clarifying. You will probably get more questions than just from me with it worded green pepper, as there are many sellers just selling unripe green peppers seeds from the grocery store not realizing that there have only been 2 actual green-when-ripe bell peppers in existence. You might want to explain that they were ripe so your auctions are not bulked with them. :)
