This necklace was one of a large batch purchased in 1975 from the Navajo artisan Nellie Begay, who lived in Window Rock, Arizona. It was purchased for a European jewelry venture that my husband and I thought to undertake, but through unforeseen circumstances we could not complete the deal. The last couple dozen wound up in storage in my mother's home for more than three decades. I rediscovered them after her death, and over the next few weeks will be listing the last half dozen or so that I have left.

I call this one "Sunburst and Pearl", because of the beautiful brilliant orange beads with genuine jojoba accents. A few pearly white spacer beads accent the piece, which is approximately 24" in circumference if you don't include the sunburst pendant. The sunburst is over 4" in diameter. This is one of a kind; each of Nellie's pieces was always unique.
