ok I found this but it is on Radishes in general not specific to this variety http://nutritiondata.self.com/facts/vegetables-and-vegetable-products/2606/2
Maybe some one with faster internet connection could find more specific nutritional data?
I just did some more research. What I have found is that the rabano radish was originally grown in Egypt in 2700 B.C. It started as a wild radish and its popularity spread to different areas. It's usually eaten fresh, but can be cooked or dried. (I've never actually cooked a radish.) According to some references, it has nutritional value of iron, Vit. C, potassium, folic acid, and thiamin. It can also give roughage, which helps with constipation. It took a while to find it, so I thank you MsCougar, for your efforts. I wondered if maybe you had the info. on a package or reference book. It looks like radishes do actually add to a healthy diet! :)
Thank you mooseriverannie!! That was a whole lot more than I found!
The seeds are from burpee, I have not checked out burpee.com
Who would have thought all that from the lowly radish. I know radishes grow wild here but the root is narrow and long, thiner than a pencil, kinda not worth the effort to try and harvest.
