Yep. Once a melon reaches a good size and there's room enough for it to fit into a container. Any square container will do. Remember that the stem needs sunlight. Many people will make a plexy glass box with hinges as so, the box can be taken apart easily. If using a square plastic container.. If it doesn't lift out easily, use a bit of vegetable oil to grease the sides to help pull the watermelon out. Otherwise, you'll have to cut apart the container.

You can grow watermelon in any container.. if using a cardboard box, you'll most likely have to replace it once or twice.

One of the coolest things is seeing an apple or pear in a wine bottle.. Also known as "Pearl in a Bottle". It's awesome.

My first container was a clear square RubberMaid container purchased at Wal-*****.

Just hit Yubertuber or e-Howdy for some videos regarding growing square watermelon. The best thing you can do for your veggie plants is water them once or twice a week with compost tea (manure tea). Just get a bucket or garbage can, fill about 1/4 full and the rest with water. Churn by bringing the contents from the bottom to the top letting air get into it. The container will smell for a few days but after that.. no smell at all. When you need to water plants.. just collect from the top and refill the container with water. I use steaped manure tea ... Boy, my melon and other plants really taste and look great.
