Description

The listing, NEW 8GB DESKTOP MEMORY KIT (2GBX4) has ended.

I have 4 new, never-used sticks of 2GB ea memory sticks. The tag says "hynix" Korea 08 as the brand. I don't know a lot about the specifications, but I will list it as it is listed on my receipt.

*DDR2 RAM
*PC2-5300
*ECC FBDIMM
*667 MHz ECC FULLY BUFFERED
*240 Pin

I bought these for my boyfriend's desktop computer, but I didn't know his needed "un-buffered" memory. So instead of sending them back, I figure I'll put them on here for some credits. The 1st pic is a generic photo, shown to show specs. The 2nd, 3rd, & 4th pics are of the actual items I have. 3 of the 4 sticks have NOT been opened. Only 1 was opened to see if it would fit.

Sorry, no. I don't ship to Canada & I'd rather not do GIN. Thanks for your interest though.

I don't know if it will work or not. You'll have to do some research on it. The reason it didn't work for his Dell is because he needs "unbuffered" & what I have is "fully buffered" whatever that means, lol.

Folks pay attention to the 5300F If yours uses 5300U they WILL NOT INTERCHANGE AND SHE AS GOOD AS TOLD YOU THAT when she said that she needed unbuffered which is what the U stands for

Oh and no the F does not stand for fully buffered. Mine are pc3-8500f and they are 1gb non-ecc unbuffered.

I don't know what the F stands for, but the description and label say that they are "Fully Buffered." That's why I said they're fully buffered; because they are....lol

Yeah i understand that I was just making that clear because the other guy made it sound like thats what the F stood for. I was giving other people the understanding that thats not what the F stands for incase they ever happen to run across memory with an F on it again. But Nice auction anyways.

well I just found out what the difference is in buffered and unbuffered its the bit of your comp. I wanted them real bad but I'm only running a 32 bit and have to have a 64 in order for it to work.great auction if they weren't buffered they would be mine.

Yes, buffered is mainly for servers & some workstations, but some pc's (depending on the motherboard) will accept buffered memory. Although, you cannot mix buffered & unbuffered.
