Fill a 4-inch pot with moist peat moss. Press three to four white pitcher plant seeds down into the peat moss to a depth of about 1/8 inch.

Stand the pot upright in a 1-gallon plastic bag. Seal the bag.

3
Set the plastic bag on a plant-heating pad set to 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Place a fluorescent grow lamp over the plastic bag at a distance of 10 to 12 inches. Set the grow light to run for at least 16 hours per day.

Open the bag and check the soil for moisture several times per week. If the top layer of soil appears dry, moisten it with water from a spray bottle and reseal the bag.

Continue to provide the white pitcher plant seeds with light, warmth and moist growing medium. Germination should begin within three weeks. Even after germination, the white pitcher plants can stay in the plastic bag until they are large enough to repot.

Repot the white pitcher plant seedlings into separate 4-inch pots filled with organic potting soil when they each develop a minimum of four leaves. Move the white pitcher plants to an area that receives indirect sunlight as they grow. Continue to provide moist soil throughout the growing process.
