The listing, Clay Baby Fairy with 3D Butterfly Wings (painted with reborn doll paints) has ended.
I made this baby butterfly fairy out of clay, then baked it in a special oven that was new and never used with food. I painted it with reborn paints (3-4 very thin layers). The last thing I add is the wings. This baby has very fine details including blushing, creases and even veining (my camera isn't very good it looks much better in real life).. It measures only 2 1/2 inches long. It takes a lot of time to make one of these. Before the baby is baked, I use a mold to do the body of the baby. I then use clay tools and even a straight pin to do the details, make the baby stand out more and to change things. I then smooth the baby skin out using my fingers. Every baby is one of a kind. I love to make reborn baby dolls but I thought I would like to try making clay babies. I tried to add lots of picts. so you can see all around the baby.
