how well do these work? because i'm a messy eater and always manage to leave the table with sauce on my shirt. haha.

This actually works pretty well, but the thing is, since this is a really small pen, it won't be enough for huge stains. Also, the stain must be fresh. Here's the directions from the package:

1. Remove excess residue from stain.
2. Press the tip onto the stain several times to release some stain remover solution onto the stain.
3. Rub tip gently across the stain to remove it. When necessary, add more liquid and continue rubbing gently
4. Important: If treated area will be exposed to direct sunlight, wipe with a damp cloth or napkin to remove excess solution left on fabric.

It got 4/5 stars with 39 reviews on drugstore.com as well as 4/5 stars from Amazon.com with 43 reviews so it's a pretty nice product! :D
