This is a rather dirty quartz crystal. It is dirty because if photographs better that way, you can see the facets and points and other interesting things about this crystal with a little dirt. I will, however, clean it with soap and water and set it in the sun for the next seven days until you win it.

Is it OK to set crystals in the sun that long? I've read that the heat could cause any fractures to crack {?}. Trying to learn about crystals....Fanned and watching

I put my crystals on the window ledge in the sun... It is cool there. In the summertime, well, that's a different story. They can fracture easy. When I dig my own crystal, as I remove it from the clay wall, I leave as much clay around it as I can and I wrap them in newspaper and keep them in the shade until they reach outside temperature. It is real frustrating when a gorgeous crystal fractures. However, they never loose their beauty.
