Hi! I would love to draw your pet!
I am building my pet portrait portfolio, and I am looking for pets to draw. I want to make a special piece of art of your special pet.
The winner will get
1 one custom pet portrait of Your pet in
8x10" include up to two pets in your finished piece!
The photos I included are examples of my recent work. They are not the actual art you will recieve.
I can also draw any other animal, fish, lizard, bird, owl, sloth, cat, any animal you like! The last photo shows the finished art from a previous 8 x 10" custom listing just like this one for Jen drawn of her Shar Pei, Kosmo ♥
I will draw your pet freehand, with love and care, based on your photos. The original will be shipped to you FREE in the mail packed carefully in an archival plastic sleeve with tracking.
At the close of this auction, I will contact the winner. I need at least 2 clear photographs of your pets emailed to me. The clearer your photos are, the better the final portrait will look!
Your finished artwork will be created using Micron ink + prismacolor colored pencils.I use acid free heavyweight bristol paper. I use high quality materials so your new art will last for years to come. It will take me approximately 1-2 weeks to complete your portrait. I will send a scan when finished. On your approval, I will ship the actual artwork to you. I will also email a high-res scan of the finished art.
You will have my permission to reprint the finished art for *PERSONAL USE* Please do not reproduce the image for profit, whether for money or listia points.
I ask for permission to use your finished portrait as an example for my portfolio, and I retain copyright on the finished art.

Love love love this listing. My kitty is 14 years old, I have had her since she was 6 weeks old. I'm only 30, so she's been with me 1/2 my life! This would be a wonderful piece of forever art to have of my very favorite pet ever! Watching & Bidding. Fan me if you can, I always fan back!

aww! Animals really become family members. My childhood best friend had a cat who lived almost 20 years! Kitties can live a very long time with the right human to care for them ♥

Yes, that is Sage our rescue dog. We got him about two years ago. The shelter said he was found alone on the streets of Chicago earlier in January. No collar, nothing...poor little guy was lucky someone found him. We spoil him and make sure he has a nice winter wardrobe, toys, treats, etc.

Thank you! It is. I drew Renoir's portrait between sips at Starbucks. I'm a freelance professional artist, an art teacher...and an animal lover, too! A friend recently asked me if I'd draw her Golden Retriever, Gracie, and I was thrilled! I don't know why I never thought to draw pet portraits before!..It's a perfect union of two of my major interests: animals and creating art! Is there a place online where I could view more samples of your art work? I always love meeting and interacting with other artists. (Maybe that's why I decided to have "tea with Renoir". :)

I work full time in a call center, which is a great steady job with benefits... But my dream is and always has been to be a professional artist!

Yes it is a wonderful job, that I love very much, getting the opportunity to work with such amazing animals all the time is the best feeling in the world. I also breed exotic animals (mostly reptiles) and run a rescue to take in reptiles that were neglected, abused, and uncared for. A lot of our animals were found left to die, some have been through more than you could ever imagine. But they still show us love! I personally take care of, and work with all the animals I have. :) I even started growing fruits and vegetables so they can get heirloom organic foods, that are healthier for them. I can't wait to try to get a few of them painted in the future :)

This sounds awesome :) I have been working with animals for over 5 1/2 years now, and I Love em' I have quite the collection of animals, and I work at a private zoo. Yes, I took art lessons when I was around 6 -8 years old, but it was difficult because I had an idea of how I wanted my drawings to look, but my little kid motor skills just couldn't make it happen yet. Then, boom, age 12 (your daughter's age!) everything came together and I could draw very detailed and realistic art! You're starting her with lessons at the perfect age! She's old enough that she can learn and gain mastery over what she is taught without getting frustrated by not being able to make her hands do what she wants, but young enough to learn a ton and be open to ideas. ♥
