how does it charge or get songs on it?

well, it takes one triple a battery that slides in in the front, and you can download songs from various websites, all you need is a USB cable (which i lost), plus, there is an sd card slot at the top, so you can save your songs or transfer them if something ever happens, if you need anymore help, just let me know, i will be glad to help you

and to answer your other question, no the cords do not come with it, but you can get them at walmart for pretty cheap, (i lost the cords)

regular, but if u want to put your mini in it, they make big sd cards that u can slide the minis into, if that helps, if u want, if u bid and win i will throw in a free one that u can put your mini sd card into
