I bought this for my brother, turns out he can't play it on his xbox 360. It's for the xbox not the 360. And since it doesn't play on the 360 so I can't tell you if it works.

He says it because there is no data files or something along those lines for this game that is why it won't play....I was kind of confused with what he was saying

it has to have an actual harddrive in it to play the old xbox games. I spent a lot of time on the phone with tech support

if he has xbox live it should play. i have like 10 games for the original xbox and alot of them came out before mechassault. if his xbox isnt connected to the internet then he cant download the necessary data pack to play it
