It's 8 inches at the base and 4 1/2 inches tall. I purchased at a yard sell about 3 years ago and has been in my non smoking house hold since yet I cannot say about b4. I smelled it and I smell no smoke and I quit smoking a year ago so I can smell cigarettes from a mile a way even people that smoke walk In to the grocery store and I have to go to the next isle.
