The listing, Vintage Gold Pocket Watch has ended.

This is a really good looking working gold pocket watch. I am sure it is just gold colored but it looks sharp. You can see the guts working. I wound it up and it is running nice as I write this and I dont think it will give you any problems. It is marked on the front "Majestime, 17 Jewels, Shock Protected, Swiss Made" The back has someones name inscribed. It measures 1 3/4" across.

yikes, while a pocket watch is a bit larger, a swiss watch with jewels is by far more involved then say a 40 - 60 year old american watch, say a timex or an american pocket "dollar watch". Personally speaking if I was a beginner, I would pick something that was less complicated to begin with. Then my odds of success would be better. Good luck, is a rewarding hobby. This does appear to be a nice watch. My guess is it is older then 20 - 30 years.
