Are these dwarf lemon tree seeds or do you have to prune them back a lot to keep them in a pot?

I prune mine some but when i got my tree I paid for the dwarf. But the lady never did send me the name of it so I presume she was honest, but the tree does great in my pot, about 5 years old, but once in a while my husband will prune it to keep it in a nice shape.
