Took it to a shop they said the hard drive is shot, but the system is ok. take it as is.

I cant confirm, but it makes sense. the largest PS3 system i know of is 500gigs

I can tell anyone that doesn't know what drive to buy that you need a SATA laptop drive 5200 rpm max. I think about any size will work. I swapped my 80 gb for a 320 a few years back.

There is no hard drive. A person would have to go out and by a hard drive for like 50 bucks. depending on the size.
