Teminology:
ch- Chain
st- stitch
sc- Single Crochet
trc- Triple Crochet
sl st- Slip Stitch

These appliques would be perfect sewn on to your favorite sweater, blanket, or hat! Or glue a magnet on the back and put it on your fridge!!

You would have to modify them by continuing around. They arent super small but nowhere near large enough for potholders, coasters, etc.
