Description

The listing, Netgear 54 Mbps Wireless Router WGR614 v.4 has ended.

Welcome! This auction is for a WGR614 (version 4) Netgear 54 Mbps wireless router. This is a used item, but in excellent condition. This will ship without any cords, but has its antenna.

**MY AUCTION RULES: READ ME**

I WILL NOT SHIP TO AN UNVERIFIED ADDRESS. PERIOD. VERIFY YOUR ADDRESS HERE: http://www.listia.com/account/addresses

All Listia rules apply. Read them, and be educated. I follow them to the letter.

I don't block comments if they are rude. I leave them, so the whole site can see how absurd they make the user who posted them look. Think twice before posting something...silly.

The vast majority of my auctions get shipped with tracking. You don't have to ask. ;)

I don't do buyer's remorse. Please be one hundred percent sure about the item, and please read the entire description before bidding.

I don't smoke, but I have pets. They don't smoke, either.

No, I will not lower the days. No, I will not offer a GIN. This isn't “Let's Make A Deal”. The terms of my auction are simple and non-negotiable.

When you bid, you are agreeing to Listia’s terms, and mine. Thanks for visiting!

As the description says, there is no power cord. You're probably looking at the antenna.

Yes. There is a port for a power cord. This auction does not come with it. You need to supply it.

I need to ask a question please if anyone knows more about wireless connections than me, my daughter has a apple g4 laptop, she has wifi where she lives, but has to purchase an airtime card for the laptop, would this router help her with internet connection, thank you, fanned and watching
Feb 16th, 2014 at 6:34:51 PM PST by
Original
Thanks, fanned back! This device isn't a range expander, nor will it boost an already-wireless connection. You need an internet service provider and modem for access to the internet first, through FiOS or DirecTV or Optimum and the like. The router I'm offering basically takes whatever signal you get through a modem or surfboard and makes it wireless, so any wifi-enabled device can pick it up. If your daughter already has wireless, the router I'm offering is unnecessary. Hope that helped. Good luck!

Is the antenna removable? Is this N class or G class router?
Feb 20th, 2014 at 11:53:20 PM PST by

No sorry, the antenna is not removable. As for the class...I had to look that up. :) According to CNet, this is a G-Class router.

stupid q, but would I have to reset the password/know the existing one or was it wiped clean? thanks. I bought one off here a year ago and never got it to work. but I know while I was troubleshooting that was 1/50 reasons it could be messed up lol

You'd probably want to reset the password after reverting to factory settings, yes. Netgear has two pages devoted to that very thing:
