Actually you can out fit them with electronic components. And run them. Im starting to do that I hired a hobby store to do that. So far they got a mortor in it and electric trucks on. Tomorrow they will get the electric wheels on. And next week they will get wires inserted into it.
ok thats great to know, I just didn't want anyone else bidding on them to think that they have motors etc so I added an update to their descriptions, As long as you are happy with them, thats fine. I try to acurately describe my auctions to best of my ability, thanks again for the infor and good luck on your bids
Just so you know. It is called a dummy unit and they go behind a powered unit. You don't need to go through all the trouble of cutting and wiring. Just buy a powered unit. I bought a 0-6-0 switcher for $10 at a train expo. Help the used sales. Buy used.
No, this is strictly a toy all plastic no moving parts, it doesn't hook up to a real N gauge train at all. Its strictly just to sit on a shelf or in a display or have a child just push it around, It is not a dummy unit and doesn't go behind any powered unit, it is just N gauge size NON working and not intended to really run
