The listing, Little Keepsake Collectible Baby Figurine in a diaper (painted w/ reborn Doll paints) has ended.
I made this baby out of clay, then baked it in a special, new oven that will never be used to cook food. I painted it with reborn paints (3-4 very thin layers). The last thing I added was the white felt diaper and glued fancy trim on it. This baby has very fine details including blushing, creases and even veining (my camera isn't very good it looks much better in real life).. It measures only 2 1/2 inches long. It takes a lot of time to make one of these. Before the baby is baked, I use a silicone cover to form the body of the baby. I then use clay tools and even a straight pin to do the details, make the baby stand out more and to change things. I then smooth the baby skin out using my fingers. Every baby is one of a kind. I love to make reborn baby dolls but I thought I would like to try making clay babies. I tried to add lots of picts. so you can see all around the baby.
