Nice point. i have a few made of the same material. they were found when i visited your state. most of my finds are east coast field finds. a freshly plowed field right after a rain storm always produces points for me.
Prime pickin that's when the shoes come off and out I'd go I got tired of my shoes getting sucked down in the mud and my foot comin out but not my shoe so I'd kick em off and off I'd go. Thank you for complementing it. I know the pics just are justifying its true beauty. We have property up in OK also I've found some beautiful specimens there as well very pretty pinks and whites beautiful markings I'd love to get back up there so I could go head huntin these fields here are gettin too walked there are a few that have the land planes out in them now and very recently and were supposed to be gettin some nasty weather to be in but will leave some great field conditions. Got the fever bad too : )
I've been looking at this point since i do have a few of the same design. this wasn't used as a arrowhead. it was used as a knife or some sort of tool. the only points used as arrowheads were what we call bird points. the bigger points were used in lances or for a variety of tools.
