Does this router work the same as the other one ?

Actually, this is not a router at all and will not connect to your internet source. It connects up to 8 of your computers and/or networkable devices together into a network. Ideal if you just want to create a small private network.

The other auction you refer to is a Cable/DSL router (with built in switch) that allows you to create a network and share the internet connection among up to 8 computers.

Now, the switch could be used in conjunction with the router but unless you are trying to network together 15 computers and/or network devices and share internet with them all, I don't think getting both is for you.
