Yes most hard drives will fit in any computer if it is an IDE then stick with an IDE hard drive unless I wants to switch to a sata then u need to change the cord to match the sata drive. But yes it will fit.

No will not fit in a laptop unless u want to use it as an external but that's not that easy to do.

Sata and IDE the difference is the hookups and the way it stores info. IDE is hard disk drive or hdd it has a disk inside the case that stores the info on kinda like a cd. Sata is more like a flash drive aka memory stick. They have no moving parts.
