A little info on Selenite Roses:

Some minerals form rosette shapes, and selenite is one of these. The selenite rose rock is also called "the desert rose", and is often confused with the barite rose. The edges of selenite rose are sharper and the crystalline structure is less hard than the barite rose.

Some desert rose metaphysical properties are:

Mental clarity
Increase awareness of self and environment
Allows one to see inner truth
Promotes success in business
Assists in accessing past lives

Selenite is named for Selene, Greek goddess of the Moon because of its moon-like glow. Exchanged between lovers, it will bring about reconciliation.

Brings mental clarity
Helps one to access angelic guidance
Quickly unblocks stagnant energy
Instills a deep peace

It makes a wonderful protection stone. Place a selenite sphere at the corners of your home to create a peaceful, safe environment that will not be disturbed by outside influences.

Maybe it is my bad picture taking? I can ask ten different people what color they see on their 10 different screens and they will all give different answers. They are a sand color and then all the "rose details" make it look almost as if the ends has been dipped in white paint. That is how they look in my best description when you have them in the room with your and by no means am a poet or writer. What color are yours? Now this is Desert Selenite note Selenite like you see that is more Clearish Opaque like you see in the wands made out of it. I was pretty sure this was the only color Desert Selenite Roses Came in so I searched the web over (and thought I found true love...sorry old Hee Haw episodes just ran through my head when I said that and I had to share you are probably to young know of what I speak lol) and I couldn't find anything that doesn't look like what I see here as Desert Selenite. Thank you so very much for taking the time to take a look at the auction and to and to comment, question, discuss. I love talking about the stones so if you ever have questions or want to discuss a stone feel free to ask. ~Namaste

Thank you mine are a rose color, kinda dark pinkish color. I got them from a rock place in Eastern Oklahoma. The guy had one that fit on a back of a car trailer it was awesome. I love rocks they are so fascinating. All the different colors and shapes. My house is surrounded by rocks. I am a member of Iowa's rock club. We call it the rock hound club. We go on different rock hunts, That's what I do most of the summers. Thank you again . Oh I used to watch Hee Ha a lot. It was a good show. lol

Whew I am glad you knew what Hee Ha was. lol I know my jokes can be obscure at times. It sounds like you have some beautiful gems and minerals. I think your "Rock Hound" club hand sounds like a lot fun. Someday hopefully that will be something I can do. You guys, if you haven't, should go the International Gem and Mineral Show in Tuscan, AZ. They put it on every year. Every hotel and exhibition site in the whole city is taken up with vendors. We had to stay in Phoenix and drive to Tuscan everyday. Some spots you have to have a tax ID number to get into buy but others you don't I loved going every year and meeting people from all over the world where the gems come from. That is how I made my first contacts on how to travel to different countries to see how stones were mined. It could be that with the Oklahoma "red" clay that the ones that form in that area the Selenite Roses have more of a reddish hue to them I don't know I will have to call some of my mining friends in Arkansas and ask them tomorrow. However no matter what the name of the stone is If you enjoy it and love it then all is good to me because they really do sound really pretty. I better let you get about your Sunday because when it comes to gems and minerals I can chat your eyeballs out. lol Thanks so much for taking the time to chat with me about them. It has been an honor and feel free to come by my auctions anytime and I will be happy to chit chat the day away with you about Gemstones.~Namaste

I have a ton (well literally hundreds of pounds of semi-precious gemstones in tumbled form and some in Crystals) I finally found a reasonably well priced American Company who makes very nice silk bags and am going to put some "stone starter sets" together. Sadly I haven't been feeling good enough to make it down the stairs to get to them and decide which stones to put in them. I want to cover 7 charkra's and have one grounding stone and one clear quartz and also need them to weigh no more than 9oz so that shipping doesn't eat me up but I will get them put together. All my stuff is from an actual brick and mortar store I owned prior to my first tumor when we had to shut down with out any notice at all. So I have been trying to go through all the boxes. Slowly but Surely.
