The listing, Pentax SP1000 has ended.

Awesome camera for people who are just starting out in film photography! As many older items do, this camera has a few issues. I just recently had the entire battery compartment replaced but the light meter is not working. It is an easy fix at a camera shop but I no longer have the time to enjoy this amazing camera. Other than that, camera is in perfect condition. I will ship in the original casing, it is very warn but I am only using it to ensure the item will not be damaged in shipping. Happy bidding!

It really looks like a SP1000 - the K1000 has a hot shoe for a flash, the SP1000 does not. The K1000 has bayonet mount lenses, and the SP1000 has screw in lenses.

My mistake, it does say SP1000 on the top. I got this from another Listian who said it was a K-1000, so I always assumed it was.

Hi - can you still get a filter on the front of the lens? The ding on the front might prevent it. Also, is this a K-100, or a spotmatic SP1000?

Yes, I have been able to get a filter on it, it does take a little patience but it wasn't too difficult. It is the K-1000

Does it zoom? If so to what capacity? The issues it's having....does it have anything to do with flash? Does it hv a flash? Take action shots? My apologies for all the ?s

The original lens I have on it does not zoom but I'm sure you can find lenses that do. It doesn't have a flash. Yes, it takes action shots, as many of mine have been.
