I just love this mermaid brooch, I think it is just divine! I can't really tell what material it is made from. It kind of looks like pewter, but it is not. I also do not know how old it is. I Know it has been previously owned, but is in excellent condition. There looks to be a mark on the back, closer to the top. You can see it on the square piece on one of the photos. I looked through an eye loupe & I can't make it out. It is probably a makers mark? This beautiful lady is about 21/2 inches tall. The pin on the back works good. I would consider this a costume piece, it is not sterling. I will pay the shipping to the USA or Canada, all you need is a Listia verified address, & all Listia rules apply in this auction.
