The Eastern Redbud is a large shrub or small tree native to eastern North America from Southern Ontario, Canada south to northern Florida, United States
6 fresh seeds in a packet are available with this auction.
The flowers are showy, light to dark magenta pink in color, 1.5 cm (½ inch) long, appearing in clusters from March to May, on bare stems before the leaves, sometimes on the trunk itself.
This tree with it's blossoms is a beautiful sight.
You will want to grow this for yourself.
A 10 year old tree can be 15 feet tall.
The leaves are very attractive also.

When i bought this house the yard was bare. I started planting trees, shrubs & bushes. I would see this tree here & there with the beautiful, delicate fushia/magenta flowers & the lovely heart shaped leaves. I had to have a tree like that!! It took me a while to find out that it is called Redbud tree. My tree is about 7 or 8 yrs. old, It was only about 3' tall when I planted it. It bloomed the next season. It's still a baby but it's growing very fast. It's prob around 15' tall. I planted it in my front yard & people have stopped & asked about it. Apparently there's not too many Redbuds where I live. You're right the clusters of bright pink buds on the bare stems is a sight to behold. Praise to the Redbud tree!!! ;)
