I know it says adult large. But would you say it fits more like a womens or men's large?

yes of course! It is 100% Cotton and when you wash it use fabric softener, DO NOT DRY IN DRYER and lay out to dry- I have to then "stretch" out shirts that I want to fit me and they do just have another person help or you can stretch it out at both ends top and sides- have fun.. it is for the zombies !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
