The listing, Vintage Abalone Sterling Silver Bracelet Lot of 2 has ended.

I got these off listia a short time back and they are gorgeous bracelets but just not my style. The butterfly one seems to be a tad bit bent and is hard to latch the clasp but still wearable or use for scrap. Pretty heavy and solid sterling silver, both marked Alpaca Mexico and have been tested true as sterling silver.

The clasps on these are not weak at all, if not I'd say they are more stiff then anything which I guess is a good sign they won't fall off :)

I was told that these had been tested true and were sterling silver when I won them off here, now I'm being told Alpaca is a different name for a metal made in mexico....so these may not be true silver...sorry

yes, term is meant to be deceiving. Same as Tibetan silver has no silver content. not your fault. there use to be a leather called "morocco leather" it was plastic, not leather at all. very creative marketing

Learn something new every day...bad thing is when I won these off this site I asked if they were marked 925 or sterling and was told yes then I got them I noticed they weren't at all but was stupid for assuming the seller was correct. Thanks for the lesson, I'll be able to use it for future buying :)
