Reichspfennig coins were struck by the Third Reich in zinc metal to conserve the precious copper for arms during WW2.
These were circulated throughout Germany and occupied lands between 1940 and 1945. On the back of the coin lies the German national symbol. The eagle is perched on a wreath that is encircling a swastika along with “Deutsches Reich” and the date of issue at the bottom.
